LEVEL 3 NATIONAL EXTENDED DIPLOMA AGRICULTURE (FARM MECHANISATION) YEAR 2

This program of study is designed to increase knowledge and practical skills across machinery operation, workshop skills and crop production. This course is a good balance between agriculture and engineering.

What you will study
The ?rst year units have a strong agricultural content which includes one livestock and a crop production unit.

You'll have opportunities to gain skills and experience in our ?ve workshop facilities and from operating some of the latest tractors and harvesting & cultivation equipment.

Machinery operations gives you the chance to gain experience when opportunity allows on the college farm and estate, making use of the range of tractors and equipment we have.

In your second year, business and machinery management units allow you to learn about these aspects of the industry. Engine and transmission units allow you to learn about maintaining tractors and equipment whilst carrying out practical tasks in our workshops.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Indian Certificate of Secondary Education is considered comparable to GCSE (grades A*-C / 9-4), for every subject passed, where grades of 1-6 (40-100%) have been obtained.

Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard 12 is considered comparable to the overall AS Level standard.
Diploma (from a State Board of Technical Education) is considered comparable to BTEC Level 3 Diploma, when studied for three years.

Our minimum overall IELTS scores are listed below, and are in line with UKVI standard. The Common
European Framework for languages (CEFR) level is shown in brackets:
