Bachelor of Science (Forensic Science)

This degree will prepared to become an in-demand professional in the field of forensic investigation and evidence collection. You will be given a balance of scientific theory and practical experience, as well as access to state-of-the-art teaching labs and facilities, including our Crime Scene House.

The Bachelor of Science (Forensic Science) produces scientists with a strong background in the biological and chemical sciences. You will gain a solid understanding of forensic science, including methods of forensic analysis, crime scene investigation, forensic photography, forensic investigation, crime and criminal justice, and complex cases. The Crime Scene House gives our students the opportunity to practice realistic crime scene investigation, offering hands-on experience in collecting evidence and conducting investigations. This ensures that our graduates are well prepared for a range of roles including in crime scene management, environmental forensics and forensic chemistry and biology. This degree also allows you to work with students from other disciplines, so you can start building your professional networks even before you graduate. Recent graduates of our program are currently working for NSW Police, NT Police, Australian Federal Police and the Environmental Protection Agency, along with a number of other government and private agencies.
