BA (Hons) 3D GAME ART WITH FOUNDATION YEAR

You could work for companies like Epic Games, Nintendo or Sony, or perhaps set up your own independent company to pursue your passion. Your love of gaming together with your creative and modelling skills could see you in numerous roles - from 3D Artist and Animator to Environmental Artist or Technical Animator.

This course is also offered as a four-year programme, including an initial Foundation Year. The Foundation Year will allow you to develop your academic study skills and build confidence in your abilities, identifying your own strengths and development needs for progression onto an undergraduate programme.

At our High Wycombe Campus you’ll be in the heart of the action. As our main campus, it is home to a range of state-of-the-art facilities, such as personal Art & Design workspaces, Aviation Simulator, Gym and Film and TV Studios.

BNU based at Pinewood Studios

Our teaching base at Pinewood Studios helps give you the opportunity to learn the skills and knowledge you’ll need for your future, all whilst studying right in the heart of the famous creative hub. Whether you are looking to explore animation or get hands-on with hair and make-up, you could benefit from doing it all at our exciting teaching base.

Graduates from BNU’s animation courses have gone on to work in all six of the major VFX houses in the UK, as well as a number of major games houses and smaller companies. We have had winners and runners up in the Grads In Games Competition, which have then led to jobs. Our learners have worked on major films, games and TV productions, including Avengers Endgame.

PSW Opportunity

  • 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
  • 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

We require successful completion of a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard 12 with an overall average of 65% or above.

Mathematics entry requirements

Students need the equivalent of GCSE Mathematics grade C/4.

English language requirements

Students are not required to provide an English Certificate if they achieve a score of  65% or above on the English Language subject of their a Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) / Standard 12.

A typical offer will require a UCAS tariff score of: 80 - 104

A minimum of two full A-levels (or equivalent) is required and a typical offer also requires GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4. Every application is considered on an individual basis.
