Design for Business MSc
The design has a transformative effect on the world around us. This impact cuts across culture, business, the environment, and the economy. The course will give you an understanding of this impact and how you can shape it.
Using an interdisciplinary approach, the course will enable you to approach design strategically and enhance your knowledge and understanding of design management, service design, enterprise, and entrepreneurship.
You will gain new perspectives on products and services, processes, new ways of working, managing innovation, and stakeholders. By using design thinking and other design research methods to help understand and empathize with users, you will be able to make better-informed business decisions, in marketing, organizational change, and enhanced customer engagement.
You will study in Dundee, a UNESCO City of Design, a city rich in design heritage. The city is also home to the V&A Dundee, the only design museum in Scotland and the first V&A outside of London. We’ve developed the course in parallel with the professional Design for Business program at the V&A Dundee, and you will take part in interactive workshops and briefs with them. You will also have the opportunity to be a part of a highly engaged design community through the School’s excellence in design research, industry relationships, and a highly connected creative culture in the city.

The main campus of the university is located in Dundee's West End which contains many of the university's teaching and research facilities; the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee Law School and the Dundee Dental Hospital and School.

2 Years PSW is applicable after the course completing (Bachelors level or above)
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor’s degree with 55% or above considered from University of Delhi, University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, IITs and IIMs (considered equivalent to a UK 2.1 degree)
Bachelor’s degree with 60% or above required from other institutions (considered equivalent to a UK 2.1 degree)
A Bachelor’s degree with 50% or above may be considered comparable to a UK 2.2 degree.
Law applicants from other well-ranked institutions may be considered with 55% or above
Grade requirements
The normal entry requirement is a four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a discipline that provides a suitable basis for the course, e.g. biomedical, electrical, electronic or mechanical engineering, physics, or mathematics. Students with other academic backgrounds or exceptional work experience in the chosen field should contact the Course Director to make further inquiries and to discuss their individual cases.
