Ontario College Graduate Certificate - Business Management Co-op

Looking for a well-rounded education focused on effective business management? The Business Management program is designed for university and college graduates who are eager to expand their management knowledge and skills. Using a student-centered, practical approach to learning, students work with professors with real-world business experience to develop the tools needed for success in a Canadian or international business environment.

The curriculum has a broad focus designed to develop the fundamental skills necessary to manage human, physical, and financial resources in order to meet the strategic goals of an organization. Students will learn the essential aspects of the business including marketing, sales, accounting, finance, human resources management, and business communications. Through hands-on learning approaches, students will graduate with the communication skills, confidence, and independent learning abilities needed to be successful in today's business world.

The work term that concludes the program provides students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience that will assist them in finding permanent employment after graduation.

To develop your skills, you will also have the ability to participate in Enactus - our award-winning social entrepreneurship team.

Campus Information

Sarnia/Main Campus

Lambton College’s Main Campus is located in Sarnia, Ontario and the main building on-site is the South Building where the majority of the classrooms and staff and faculty offices are located. In addition to the South Building, the main campus is also home to the Suncor Sustainability Centre, the Lambton College Residence and Event Centre, the Sustainable Smart Home, the Skilled Trades Training Centre and the North Building.

Toronto

Lambton opened a Lambton in Toronto for international students who were looking for an opportunity to study in Toronto. Lambton in Toronto was opened in partnership with Cestar College who is licensed to administer the curriculum. International students taking programs in Toronto will be learning in a challenging, but friendly environment designed to meet the specific needs of an international student. Lambton offers smaller class sizes, flexible instruction hours and affordable tuition fees.

Job Opportunity Potential

Graduates will be prepared to work in numerous business sectors, from entry-level work to move into management. Depending on the unique qualifications of the graduates, these could include employment in Canadian and international locations in the areas of manufacturing, market research, retail, logistics, banking, insurance, and sales. Some graduates may opt to become entrepreneurs and develop their own businesses.

You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.

If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years

We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.

For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.

If your program was 2 years or more

We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.

If you completed more than 1 program

You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.

Each of the programs you completed -

must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

A college diploma or university degree is required.

The admissions process is competitive and meeting the minimum academic requirements does not guarantee admission.

English Language Proficiency Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate language proficiency by submitting one of the following scores:

IELTS of 6.0;
TOEFL iBT 69; or
Passed Lambton Institute of English placement test.

Please Note: IELTS is the only proficiency score accepted by the Study Direct Stream (SDS) program. Additional country-specific requirements may also be applicable.

Meeting the minimum English requirements does not guarantee admission. Students with higher English proficiency scores will receive priority in the admission assessment process.
