Mental Health Nursing BSc (Hons)
The relationship between a person with a mental illness and the nurse is central to helping them back to mental health. This course emphasises the development of appropriate communication and interpersonal skills through interactive learning in practice settings such as hospitals, prisons, service users’ homes, residential centres, specialist clinics and other community settings.
This course leads to both an Honours degree and registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, allowing you to practise as a mental health nurse and in accordance with the NHS Constitution.

Our new Aylesbury Campus opened in February 2020 in partnership with Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust (BHT) at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Aylesbury, home to the world renowned National Spinal Injuries Centre.

PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
The normal entry requirements for postgraduate degrees are a good honours degree in an appropriate subject from a recognised university.
We may also consider candidates with other relevant qualifications and individuals with substantial related work experience.
Applicants who not have English as a first language will be required to demonstrate they have the correct level of English for their course.
