Job Opportunity Potential

The process of applying for and securing employment can take several months. We help students and alumni take the steps they need to find the job they want.

We’ll schedule interview dates with potential employers, submit résumés of interested candidates and then create 30-minute interviews with selected individuals. Even students who don’t participate in this process will benefit from our potential employer lists, job fairs and external job resources.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

  1. A completed undergraduate application for admission. The Adelphi Application, Common Application, and Coalition Application are accepted by Adelphi University for international freshman and transfer applicants. Please submit whichever application best suits your needs.
  2. A personal statement or essay. You are encouraged to submit, in 500 words or less, a response to one of the provided questions or a topic of your choice. You may submit a report or paper you have written during the current school year if needed.
  3. Academic records. Undergraduate applicants are required to submit official secondary school/university records directly to Adelphi University. One set of records should be in your native language and one set translated into English. The submission and translation of all required documents and fees are entirely the responsibility of the applicant. Photocopies are not acceptable without an official school stamp or seal.Undergraduate transfer applicants must submit all official transcripts and course descriptions for all institutions of higher education attended.

We require all non-native English speakers to take and pass one of several available proficiency exams.

Scores are valid for two years from the date of the exam.  All test results must be received as official documentation from the testing institution.

Acceptable English proficiency exams scores (TOEFL, IELTS, or DET):

80+ on the TOEFL iBT (We will accept TOEFL MyBest scores)
6.5+ on the IELTS (we will accept IELTS One Skill Retake)
110+ on the web-based Duolingo English Test (DET)
