General Associate of Science
- The General Associate of Science Degree provides students with a strong foundation in the sciences. It also prepares students to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in General Science or a related field.
- Students will be offered a wide range of science courses that is not limited to one area of study.
- Graduates will acquire knowledge from various scientific disciplines including biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and computer science
Campus Information
Main Campus
Columbia College’s Main Campus is a five-storey, 73,000 square foot building just east of Vancouver’s downtown core at 438 Terminal Avenue. The building provides well-equipped facilities to students and staff, including science laboratories (Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, and Physics), a library, and student lounges. Tenants on the ground floor, including Subway, Taco del Mar, and Bibi’s Kitchen, provide food services to students. Underground parking is available and there is easy access to SkyTrain at the nearby Main Street-Science World Station.

If your program was less than 8 months
- You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.
If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years
- We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.
For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.
If your program was 2 years or more
- We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.
If you completed more than 1 program
- You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.
Each of the programs you completed -
- must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Students should have a minimum of 75% average on their best four academic grade 12 courses (State Boards and National Open School) or 70% average (CBSE and ISCE) and have completed their grade 12 no more than two years before applying to the College.
