Behavioural Science - Technology (Ontario College Diploma)

Train for a career in this growing field. This specialized program will train you to work with children, youth and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities or acquired brain injuries. Train to assess, analyze and change human behaviour through applied behaviour analysis techniques. Graduates are qualified to work in diverse situations within community, clinical, school, residential and hospital settings.

In the third year, learn about applications related to research in the field of Applied Behavioural Analysis. Learn to write and examine a research topic of interest through individual research and complete a second placement in a clinical setting. Gain knowledge about working with special populations as well as working with more high-risk behaviours.

If your program was less than 8 months

You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.

If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years

We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.

For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.

If your program was 2 years or more

We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.

If you completed more than 1 program

You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.

Each of the programs you completed -

must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

OSSD or equivalent, ENG4C or ENG4U, Gr 11 or 12 Science (C or U), Gr 11 Math (C, U or M)
If English is not your first language you must provide proof of English competency.
