DCS - Accounting and management technology

The Accounting and Management Technology Program is a two-years program, preparing students to work in a variety of technical occupations in the accounting, finance and management fields.

Upon the successful completion of the Accounting and Management Technology program, graduates will be able:

to perform, among other functions, computerized accounting and financial analysis tasks and apply various business methods in public, private and non-profit organizations

  • to process and analyze financial and managerial accounting information using appropriate computer applications
  • to conduct financial analysis of transactions and finance-related activities
  • to provide support in carrying out accounting and financial duties using a client-based approach
  • to contribute to business methods and management decision-making
  • to use problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to gather, analyze and interpret information
  • to effectively communicate in French orally and in writing in a professional context

  •    You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.

If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years

  •    We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.

For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.

If your program was 2 years or more

  •    We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.

If you completed more than 1 program

  •    You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.

Each of the programs you completed -

  • must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Obtain a high school diploma respecting one of the following situations:

  • The candidate has obtained a DES in the youth sector or in the adult sector
  • The candidate obtained a DEP and passed the following subjects:
    • Secondary 5 languages of instruction
    • Secondary 5-second language
    • Mathematics of Secondary IV
  • Also eligible for a technical studies program leading to the college diploma designated by the Minister, the holder of the vocational studies diploma who meets the admission conditions established by the Minister. These conditions are established, for each program of study, on the basis of the vocational training acquired at the secondary level, so as to ensure the continuity of the training.
