Artificial Intelligence is at the cutting edge of technology and its potential applications are almost limitless. From developing robots that help people in their own homes to using AI in modelling and managing serious health conditions, it is changing the way we live.
There is no doubt that this rapidly growing area of computer science will be at the centre of technological advances in the future.
As you won’t have a computer science background, this conversion course is designed to get you up to speed quickly, covering the foundations of computer science as well as the specialist knowledge needed for a career in AI.
Our Artificial Intelligence masters is taught by a team of active researchers, so you’ll benefit from their ongoing work and be taught the latest techniques on this interactive course.
This course was developed with support from the Institute of Coding to help break down barriers to digital learning and employment.
What you’ll learn
We'll teach you the specialist, technical information you need, and you'll develop your ability to create ethical, well-justified and appropriate AI solutions to real-life challenges.
With an emphasis on practical experience, you’ll have the opportunity to design and plan, implement, test, evaluate and document your solutions, preparing you for future challenges as you develop your career.
You’ll work on your own and as part of a team on projects and presentations. The different projects will enable you to develop your communication and team working skills alongside your technical expertise, which is important as you enter the workplace.

Practice your video interview skills
The employers we work with are doing more and more video interviews – for obvious reasons. Video interviews can be awkward and scary, but it doesn't have to be that way. The more you practice, the more comfortable you become. We've got a host of online tools to help you get prepped.
PSW Opportunity
- 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
- 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.
Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Typically, you may be exempt from taking a SELT such as IELTS, TOEFL etc if you have:
Studied at a highly recognised institution and completed your entire education in English medium.
Have a strong Class 12 English paper score (typically, 75-85% and above).
Have evidence of working in a multinational company where it is obvious that the daily language of communication is English.
You can apply for a Masters programme with an undergraduate degree from an overseas institution.
You should at least have a first class degree from an Indian university. The specific percentage requirement will vary depending on the course you are applying for at Aston and the Indian university which you have graduated from.
If you are applying for finance, engineering or science-based subjects, you must have studied a similar field in your undergraduate degree.
You can apply for the MBA programme with an undergraduate degree, in any subject area, from an overseas institution and a minimum of three years post-graduation managerial work experience. You should have at least a first class degree from an Indian university.
These exemptions do not apply to Aston Medical School MBChB Programme.
To be accepted onto our programmes, you must be able to satisfy the University's English language requirements. The level required will depend on the programme you are applying for. We strive to make your application process as easy as possible, however in all cases we reserve the right to request an English language qualification and / or conduct an interview.
