Associate Certificate in Graphic Design

This comprehensive 10-week course will introduce you to many of the key areas of graphic design, including illustration, idea development, typography, poster design, logo design and branding. Enthusiastic, practising designers will guide you through the process of graphic design, and you will learn to deliver unique and original solutions to graphic design briefs

From Week 5 onwards, you will be introduced to industry-standard design software Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. You will be guided through tutorials in class to develop your skills, and you will reinforce your skills while implementing your design solutions in a realistic assignment; a rebrand for a company.

This course is ideal if you are interested in Graphic Design, if you wish to explore the possibility of a career change, or would like to enhance your current skills with further professional development.

This will run as an online course due to public health measures. Your lecturer will lead classes via Microsoft Teams, and course material will be available to download. You will be able to avail of student subscription rates for the Adobe software required for this course.

This is a challenging course in which you will learn to develop imaginative design work, as well as to implement your ideas digitally with industry-standard software. Job Opportunity Potential

Part time lecturing required to teach Design Technology within the Interior Design Department.

The ideal candidate will have experience working and teaching in commercial interior design, with a strength in technical areas specifically architectural detailing, sustainability, material science, project management, compliance, building regulations and CAD.

UI/UX Lecturer

Web design lecturer required to teach Web Development and UI/UX to part time students. Teaching experience an advantage but not essential. All teaching will be online. The successful candidate will have experience working on interactive frontend user experiences, evidence an ability to conduct and utilise user research, web development best practices, respond to a client brief and demonstrate a command of design thinking and prototyping techniques.

Graphic Design Lecturer

Lecturer required to teach Visual Communications to Graphic Design full time and part time students. Minimum 5 years industry experience required. Teaching experience an advantage. Flexible hours.

Non-EU Student Visa Application

All international students holding a Non-EU passport are required to have a Student Visa to study in Ireland. Students are required to register with the Garda National Immigration Bureau (GNIB) within 90 days of arriving in Ireland.

Applicants are requested to submit the application form and course deposit, ensuring that all details are filled out correctly. Select ‘Yes’ on this form when asked to indicate if you are an international student.

Upon submitting, you will receive an email from the Admissions Team within one week, requesting the following documents:

Proof that the applicant has the required level of English (IELTS Level 6 for Degree entry, Level 5.5 for all other programmes)
A copy of the picture page of your passport
CV detailing your academic/work history
Certificate copies of your most recent educational qualification (second or third level), and a transcript of results for all subjects taken

Attendance

International students are required to maintain an attendance of 85% to maintain their visa status. It is the student’s responsibility to attend classes and to issue a medical certificate if absent due to illness.

BA Degree Entry Requirements
Applicants are expected to hold a secondary level educational certificate or other Level 5 qualification. Our BA Degree programmes require a portfolio submission or aptitude test to be completed as part of the application process.

Higher National Certificate and Diploma Entry Requirements
Applicants are expected to hold a secondary level educational certificate or other Level 5 qualification.

Certificate Entry Requirements
Applicants are expected to hold a secondary level educational certificate or other Level 4 qualification.

English Language Requirements
Applicants who come from a country where English is not a first language are required to hold IELTS certification at minimum 6.0 or equivalent for all BA Degree programmes, and IELTS at minimum 5.5 or equivalent for all Higher National Certificate and Higher National Diploma courses.
