Certificate of English (Beginner)
The programme is intended to be an introductory course for those who wish to learn English language. Students with potentially no knowledge of the language will develop basic language competencies over an 8 week period.
The programme encompasses entry level competencies in speaking, listening, reading, writing and pronunciation of English.
This is a course that comprises of 4 distinct modules that are delivered over the 8-week period. Each module has 5 hours per day contact time, over 10 days. So, 50 hours per module provides a total of 200 hours contact time.

Job Opportunity Potential

PSW Opportunity
- The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
- Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
- They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

At least 16 years old
Has completed High School Year 10
Applicants to sit for an English Placement test as part of the application process to determine current English levels
