DIPLOMA IN TOURISM & HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

The Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management awarded by NIM is designed to serve as foundations for students wishing to pursue their careers in the tourism and hospitality industry. The functional skills and knowledge that are essential will be introduced. Students will develop professional competencies in areas relating food and beverage operations, operating system such as property management system and airlines reservation system, and essential customer service skills both in classroom and during their 6 months industrial attachment with renowned hospitality companies in Singapore.

PSW Opportunity

  • The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
  • Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
  • They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

  • 2x GCE A Level or formal Year-12 education or IB Diploma; or equivalent
  • IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
  • Applicants who do not meet the minimum English Language proficiency requirements are required to sit and pass the NIM English Proficiency Test.
  • Applicants should be at least 17 years of age at the time of application.
