BA (HONS) MUSIC PRODUCTION & SOUND ENGINEERING DEGREE (3 YEARS)
Pursue your passion for music whilst proving you've got what it takes to complete this BA (Hons) degree programme validated by Middlesex University. This intensive, practical music production and sound engineering course is multi-platform featuring Logic, Ableton, Pro Tools, Native Instruments, Push and more. Developed and taught by music industry professionals who have worked with Pharrell Williams, Bjork, Swedish House Mafia and many more, this 360 experience will ensure your expertise in key areas of the industry including production, remixing, sound design, sound engineering, mastering, how to manage your career (or manage others), making music for TV, film and games and Pro Tools. You will be attending our state-of-the-art School in Shoreditch which features the best facilities in the business such as SSL Duality Delta mixing consoles. Lectures are delivered to a maximum of 16 students per studio (vastly different to the hundreds you will find in other institutions' lecture halls). This means you get more hands on time and personal instruction. Free unlimited practice time is available to students seven days per week. This degree can be taken as a three year pathway (apply through this page) or you can choose the accelerated pathway and complete in two years. Qualifying UK/EU students can access Student Finance to fund the three year pathway. Places are extremely limited so apply well in advance of your preferred start date to avoid disappointment.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
First and foremost, we are looking for people who can demonstrate a) their passion for music and b) an ability to successfully complete a Higher Education programme. This will initially be assessed through your personal statement which should detail any previous study or relevant experience in music. The Admissions Team will look at the merits of each application, taking the following evidence into consideration: personal statement, predicted or previously attained grades, examples of work, references, and relevant work experience. Applicants may also be asked to complete a written exercise and/or attend an interview. Where conditional offers are made, typical offers will be set between:
- A Level: BBC – BCC
- BTEC: DMM – MMM
Applicants without formal music / music technology qualifications or who have achieved academic qualifications lower than the typical conditional offer may be considered on the strength of relevant prior learning and experience. This will initially be assessed through your personal statement which should detail any previous study or relevant experience in music.
