International Foundation Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management

This programme is designed for individuals who aspire to begin a career in the field of travel, tourism and hospitality management or would like to assume greater responsibilities in one of the many ancillary service industries but lack the professional training and wish to have their skills formally recognised. Participants will acquire an integrated knowledge of the best industry practices and the operations of the Travel, Tourism and Hospitality industries.

This programme includes field trips and hands-on practicum. The campus has a Hospitality Training Centre (Tropical Breeze) in a hotel setting which makes learning more realistic for the participants.

Full-Time Positions (Non-Academic & Academic)

Academic Positions (Part-Time)
Associate Lecturer(s) will be appointed on part-time basis to cater to short-term teaching requirements. After the recruitment process has concluded, the official appointment will take place three (3) to six (6) months prior to the commencement of classes or it will be subject to the availability of teaching classes.

Applicants must possess a recognised University degree. Any other relevant professional qualifications, industry experience and pedagogical training would be advantageous.

PSW Opportunity

  • The International Students studying in certain institutions in Singapore are allowed to work part time for 16 hours per week as mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore.
  • Students who have studied in the institutions mentioned on the Ministry of Manpower website of Singapore are allowed to apply for a Long Term Visitor Pass.
  • They are allowed to look for a job during this time period.This is for 12 months.If the students get a job during this time period, the employer may sponsor for an Employment pass.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be of age 14 and above and possess one of the following entrance requirements:

At least 1 GCE 'O' Level Pass 

OR

NITEC / Higher NITEC Qualifications 

OR

International applicants must have completed 10 years of foreign formal education 

OR

Mature candidates (≥30 years old with 8 years relevant work experience) 

OR

At least 1 IGCSE Level Pass

English Language Requirements

Possess a minimum C6 grade in English at GCE 'O' Level or equivalent 

OR

Achieve a minimum band of 5.5 in the IELTS or eqivalent 

OR

Pass the English Entrance Test (EET) conducted by MDIS 

OR

Completed MDIS Professional Certificate in English (PCIE) 

OR

1 IGCSE Level Pass (either English 1st or 2nd language) 

OR

Letter from College/University clearly stating the Medium of Instruction of the highest qualification to be English

OR

Online English Placement Test conducted by MDIS

OR

Achieve a minimum score of 85 and above in Duolingo English Test
