International Foundation Year Health, Medical and Life Sciences
Start your studies and work towards a career in health sciences by selecting one of four routes leading to a range of progression degrees. The routes are: Dentistry, Medicine, Pharmacological and Life Sciences, or Psychology.
Applications for September 2021 entry for students wishing to study Medicine or Dental Surgery are not yet open, but you can register your interest by completing our enquiry form.
Modules
You will study core modules in Biology and Pure Mathematics. Other modules vary depending on your chosen route, and include Core Biology, Pure Mathematics, Core Chemistry and Introduction to Psychology.

Start your career in the UK with the new Graduate Immigration Route – a 2-year post-study work visa or international students graduating from UK universities. If you begin your studies after autumn 2020, you’ll be able to work for up to two years after graduating with your valid Student visa. - Academic IELTS for UKVI 5.0 (minimum 5.0 in writing)
- Academic IELTS for UKVI 6.0 (minimum 6.0 in writing, no skill below 5.5) is required for students aiming to progress to Medicine, Dental Surgery, Pharmacy, Optometry and Medical Pharmacology, Journalism and Communications; Journalism, Communications and Politics; Media and Communications or Media, Journalism and Culture.
