MSc Managing Innovation

In Dubai, the governments both at federal level and local level have declared that the future is going to be smart cities on Block Chain platform, disruptive technologies and disruptive innovation. Hence, it is expected that the employers will start to revise the skills they hire and the market will start to see new categories of jobs to serve this transformation. Market research indicates that any graduate with knowledge about Blockchain in an innovation context gets multiple job offers.

The objective of the programme is to provide high calibre innovation management graduates with an in-depth understanding of creative, strategic, tactical and operational issues of innovation management on a global scale. This will also provide experience across a wide range of industries including manufacturing, service, public and the third sectors. On completion of the degree, the participants will be well equipped with state-of-the-art knowledge of the concepts, methods, tools and techniques to enable them to contribute towards the competitiveness of their organisations.

Students also have the opportunity to take part in team-building and leadership events during the first few weeks of the programme.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Entry requirements
For MSc entry, a good relevant Honours degree (first or second class) or equivalent overseas qualifications will be considered. Given the clear practical element of the programmes, we will also consider non-graduate candidates holding less than a good Honours degree, or its equivalent, but with compensating qualifications or experience may be admitted to the Postgraduate Diploma programme. Transfer to the MSc will be possible later on if exams and course work are at MSc level.

English language requirements
Where English was not the medium of instruction at secondary school, applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.5 (with all elements passed at 6.0 or above). Applicants who have completed secondary and tertiary education will need to provide documentary evidence. A minimum of one year full-time study in English will be required.
