Nursing, B.S.

Become a skilled and empathetic caregiver by studying transcultural nursing—a holistic approach to team-based health care that respects a patient’s personal beliefs, experiences, and values.

What You’ll Learn

Gain boots-on-the-ground training in diverse clinical placements throughout New York City and beyond, and ready yourself for a career as a leader in the nursing field., You’ll learn to practice with patients across their lifespan while respecting individual variations, complexities, and resources needed for individualized care.

During the program’s clinical phase, you’ll work in rotations in our affiliated network of private health care institutions, major New York area hospitals, ambulatory community clinics, and extended care facilities. Students may also have the opportunity to participate in outreach programs that help underserved populations, from refugees in Athens, Greece, to patients in Costa Rica.

The program also leverages the latest educational technology...everything from avatar programs to high-fidelity simulations.

Our faculty provide expertise in numerous areas—including community-based health practice, maternal child care, mental health, critical care, asthma education, and pharmacology—offering mentorship across a broad spectrum of fields. You’ll work directly with these experts—all full-time faculty hold doctorate degrees—throughout your course work and in the development of teaching materials that could be distributed to large patient populations.
