Bachelor of Arts

The highly flexible Bachelor of Arts is a 3-year undergraduate degree. It offers students a pathway into a range of innovative disciplines where you will develop the skills, expertise and professional knowledge to pursue a range of exciting careers.

Majors are available from within the creative and humanities disciplines and beyond, including Culture and Heritage, Global Studies, Creative Writing, Film Production, Digital Media as well as Game Development, Sports Media and more. Combine these specialisations with elective Breadth Majors in areas such as Politics, International Relations, Psychology, Sociology or another area of your choice. A sector-leading suite of units in Indigenous Studies can also be added to your degree.

Students in the Bachelor of Arts secure their foundational skills in writing, critical thinking, critical literacy and expression, while exploring a range of work integrated learning opportunities. The degree has a flexible structure, offering cutting-edge learning in an environment where students are encouraged to explore their interests and pursue the study trajectory that suits them best.

Completion of the Bachelor of Arts with specialist majors in Culture and Heritage, Global Studies, Creative Writing or Digital Media will be specified on the awarded qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Arts (Culture and Heritage), Bachelor of Arts (Global Studies), etc.). All other specialisations will lead to a general Bachelor of Arts.

Post Study Work Steam Renames to Post Higher Education Work Steam.

Bachelor degree holders including honours can get upto 2 years of post study stay
Master by course work and extended (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 2 years
Masters by research (with a duration exceeding 2 years) and PhD holder can stay upto 3 years
The Maximum eligible age to apply for PSW will be reduced to 35 years of age from 50 years of age for all applicants

Due to the Australian Indian Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement signed by the 2 countries, according to which:

Indian students completing bachelor degree including honours can stay upto 2 years
Bachelor degree with First class honours in STEM including ICT can stay upto 3 years
Masters by coursework in extended researched (with a duration exceeding 2 years) can stay upto 3 years
PhD students can stay upto 4 years

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Must provide certified evidence of your current English proficiency level including: English tests; transcripts and award certificates; and/or a letter from the institution stating the language of instruction.
Must provide certified evidence of academic transcripts and award certificates. Transcripts should indicate if the academic requirements of the course are incomplete /complete or if the award has been conferred.
Provide Statements of Employment and a Resume with referee contact details for courses with work experience requirements.
Subject descriptions must be provided for International Qualifications and may be requested for Domestic Qualifications if required. Not providing this documentation with your application could delay the outcome- Credit transfer/ advanced standing.
Other qualifications not listed will be considered on an individual basis. This list provides minimum entry requirements for courses; however, some courses may have higher entry requirements. If you are unable to meet the above requirements, you may be eligible to access a pathway provided by college.
