Dual MBA/MPA Degree in Sustainable Solutions

Dual MBA/MPA Overview

Multisector is the future. The opportunities and challenges of reorienting social and economic systems to more equitable, inclusive, and sustainable models are enormous. Too big for the private sector or public alone. These big challenges require multi-sector solutions. Modern leaders know that in complex systems transformative, sustainable innovation and lasting change require multi-sector collaboration. Whether at the global, national, or local level, it takes stakeholder engagement and cooperation to spot synergies between sectors and then align activity to achieve results. It’s what we call the Presidian Way.

It’s what we call the Presidian Way.

The Presidio Graduate School MBA/MPA Dual Degree equips students with the knowledge, skills, and tools to lead multi-sector collaboration. Students earn two master degrees: an MBA, and an MPA in Sustainable Solutions. This 68-credit curriculum combines the best private sector innovation education with cutting-edge public sector training.  Dual Degree graduates see the entire playing field – from both institutional and private sector perspectives. It’s the kind of vision that is essential for leadership roles in industries that straddle the public and private sectors – and for those who seek to align commercial and policy goals with sustainable outcomes.

Program Format
The Dual Degree is built on the same foundation as our MBA and MPA degree programs, which are closely integrated. It follows the distinctive PGS systems-thinking approach to sustainable management — putting an emphasis on broad stakeholder input and buy-in to enable fundamental progress and transformative change. Experiential learning projects provide students the opportunity to practice in real life what they learn in the classroom. This approach equips graduates to take on complex intersectoral challenges.
