The Pathway Certificate for MPA Entry prepares you for entry into the internationally-recognised Master of Professional Accounting (CPA) degree, no matter what your background.

Courses

The Pathway Certificate for Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) entry is a 60-credit Level 6 Certificate programme with six 10-credit courses.

Each course takes one term (six weeks of study plus two weeks of exams).

Each course requires 10-15 hours of study per week, depending on your background.

Full-time students are encouraged to study two to three courses at a time, with options available for part-time study.

All students should seek course advice before commencing.


All courses (except Fundamental of Business Law) are CPA Australia Foundation courses, and are compulsory. However, students should contact CPA Australia for their Foundation Outcome if they have some relevant prior study as they may not need to study all courses.

PSW Opportunity

  • During study, all students on a student visa can work up to 20 hours per week during semester and full time during vacations.
  • After completing Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree or Higher Qualification, a student will get a three years open post-study work visa.
  • After completing Level 8 Post Graduate courses of 1 year, students get 1 year PSW.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

  • A degree with at least a B grade average in the 300 level and final year (full-time equivalent) courses
  • IELTS 6.5 (no individual band less than 6.0)
  • Eligibility to enrol in the CPA Australia Foundation Examinations.
