BA (Hons) in Social Care
The BA (Hons) in Social Care course is a full-time, level 8 course of four-years duration. Learning and teaching methods include lectures, tutorials, group discussions and both individual and group projects. Active participation, role-play, peer-learning and exploration of topics in the classroom through teacher-led and student-led discussions all form part of the teaching and learning strategies that students are expected to engage in.
Please Note: In order to fulfil, the learning and teaching requirements of the course, students will be asked to participate in role-play activities. Furthermore, students on the course are subject to fitness to practise regulations.
In order to attend work placements, students must meet Garda Vetting, vaccination, manual handling, and first aid training requirements.
