Certificate - Teaching English as a Second Language

Crandall University has responded to this demand by creating the TESL Certificate Program and the TEFL Certificate Program, both designed to train future ESL/EFL teachers by introducing them to the theory, methodology, and practical skills they will need in the classroom.

The TESL Certificate Program at Crandall is recognized by TESL CANADA as meeting the requirements for Professional Certificate Standard One and is recommended for those who are planning to teach English language at a recognized institution in Canada. It includes 150 hours of instruction and 25 hours of supervised practicum under conditions set by TESL CANADA.

The TEFL Certificate Program offers the same high quality instruction but with a more flexible practicum. It is frequently chosen by those who plan to teach overseas.

Both programs are designed and taught by Graeme Ching (Level 4 Professional Certification from TESL Canada; former owner of Aurora English in Japan; author of Teaching English: A Practical Guide for Language Teachers) and include academic coursework, practical activities and assignments, and a teaching practicum.

Note - Duration and Tuition fees are estimated.
