Graduates may find employment in a variety of security related domains in the private, corporate, industrial, governmental or service sectors in a variety of roles including Cyber Security Analyst, Cyber Security Specialist/Technician, Cyber Crime Analyst, Cyber Security Consultant, Cyber Security Developer, Cyber Security Design Specialist, Cyber Security Engineer, Cyber Security Advisor, Embedded Cyber Security Specialist, Cyber Security Solutions Architect, Cyber Security Business Development Leader, Cyber Security Threat Assessor, Cyber Vulnerability Assessor, Cyber Defence Operator, Cyber Forensics Analyst, Cyber Security Project Manager, Cyber Security Protection and Planning Consultant, Cyber Security Compliance Specialist, Cyber Incident Response Specialist, Disaster Recovery Planner, Penetration Tester, Cyber Security Tester and Evaluator, Cyber Security Researcher, Cyber Security Cloud Architect, Cyber Security Policy Analyst.

If your program was less than 8 months

•    You aren’t eligible for a PGWP.

If your program was more than 8 months but less than 2 years

•    We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for up to the same length as your study program.

For example, if you completed a 9-month program, we may give you a work permit for up to 9 months.

If your program was 2 years or more

•    We may give you a PGWP that’s valid for 3 years.

If you completed more than 1 program

•    You may be able to get a PGWP that combines the length of each program.

Each of the programs you completed -

• must be PGWP-eligible and at least 8 months in length

Program Eligibility

• Ontario College Diploma, Ontario College Advanced Diploma or Degree, or equivalent in the areas of Information Systems (IS), Information Technology (IT), Telecommunications/ Networking, IT/IS Security, Computer/Electronics/Communication Engineering or equivalent;
• OR A Graduate Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Degree from an accredited institution in a non-related field, with a minimum of three years of relevant practical field experience in an IT/IS Security position may be considered;
• Applicants with international transcripts must provide proof of the subject-specific requirements noted above and may be required to provide proof of language proficiency. Domestic applicants with international transcripts must be evaluated through the International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS) or World Education Services (WES)
• IELTS-International English Language Testing Service (Academic) Overall band of 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each band. OR TOEFL-Internet-based (iBT)-overall 88, with a minimum in each component: Reading 22; Listening 22; Speaking 22; Writing 22.

For Bangladesh

Bachelor’s degree placed in the First or Second Division/Class and university transcripts.

English Proficiency requirements are as follows for consideration:

•  A minimum TOEFL score of 88 (internet-based with no single test score below 21)
•  Or an IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.5 (with no single test score below 6.0)
•  Or CAEL with an overall band score of 70

For India

Bachelor’s degree with a cumulative GPA (CGPA) of 55% or higher and university transcripts, with 6 or fewer retakes for a 3-year bachelor, and 8 or fewer retakes for a 4+ year bachelor. There can be no more than 3 retakes for any one subject.

Diploma or Provisional Certificate for proof of graduation

English Proficiency requirements are as follows for consideration:

• Academic IELTS with an overall minimum score of 6.5 (with no single test score below 6.0)

For Nepal

Degree or college diploma and transcripts (depending on the program of interest)
