BTEC Level 1 Introductory Diploma in Business
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR
This course is aimed at 16-18 year olds and is designed for those who an interest in Business and wish to pursue a career in the world of business. The course will also help you to develop skills in business including how to run meetings, contributing to the running of events, researching local businesses, branding a product, creating visual displays and pitching a business idea.
During the course students are supported in developing their English and Maths skills and the course provides the opportunity to either take GCSE Maths and English or study these as Functional skills.
COURSE CONTENT
The course is made up of ten units:

- Developing a Personal Progression Plan
- Working with Others and
- Researching a Topic and
Six optional units:
- Finding out about businesses in your area
- Creating a Visual Display
- Branding a Product
- Presenting a Business Idea
- Recording Income and Expenditure
- Communicating with Customers
