Access to Higher Education Diploma in Nursing (ACNRSF)
WHO IS THE COURSE FOR
The Access to Higher Education Diploma (Nursing) is a Level 3 qualification which prepares people without traditional qualifications for study at university. The qualification gives you the relevant academic subject knowledge needed for higher education study and the opportunity to develop study skills to help you to succeed. It is well established and widely accepted by universities, qualifying for UCAS tariff points that are comparable to the tariff points for three A levels.
COURSE CONTENT
Study skills, Biology, Sociology, Psychology, Maths and a work placement. English, numeracy and IT skills are developed as part of the programme
STUDY METHODS
You will be taught through classroom teaching, homework learning, practical activities, presentations, group discussion, video, tutorial, lecture, role play, resource-based learning, and hospital/care work experience.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
A relevant Level 2 qualification and a preference of GCSE 9-4 (grade A*- C) in English and maths (otherwise you will be required to sit a test in those subjects). Students without English or without Maths GCSEs will also study one GCSE alongside the Access course. A DBS check is required.
