Our MSc Finance is an intensive postgraduate course, designed to develop a detailed understanding of the practical application of modern finance theories in the financial world. The programme tracks the CFA syllabus and from the outset, you will take a hands-on approach to handling data and dealing with complex financial models. This degree is taught on our Peel Park campus, close to Manchester city centre, by experienced staff who are specialists in their area.

PSW Opportunity

  • 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)
  • 3 Years PSW is applicable after completing PhD level courses.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Undergraduate degree

A minimum 2:2 honours degree or equivalent in either a finance or economics subject

Other professional qualifications may also be accepted either in partial or complete fulfilment of entry requirements:

  • Candidates with a 2:2 honours degree in non finance / economics disciplines will be considered on an individual basis if some level of finance and economics content formed part of the degree and you can demonstrate a high level of quantitative ability through your degree results.
  • Candidates with a 2:2 honours degree in an unrelated subject area but have relevant work experience will be considered on an individual basis.
  • Candidates with a 2:2 honours degree in an unrelated subject area but who have relevant professional qualifications will be given due consideration on an individual basis.
  • If you are a mature candidate with significant finance industry experience or with relevant professional qualifications, you will be given due consideration on an individual basis.

Postgraduate

Holders of a three or four year bachelor's degree with an overall average of 55% from a recognised institution, or 50% plus any relevant work experience, or additional, relevant qualifications will be considered for postgraduate study.
