Screenwriting BA(Hons)

If you love films and books, and you are keen to develop skills in writing for the screen, then this could be the course for you. You’ll learn screenwriting methods and techniques as well as gaining a solid grounding in the fundamentals of creative writing across a range of genres. Alongside your own creative practice, you will deepen your understanding of the film and screen production industries, and your appreciation of excellence in writing. Along the way you will develop skills in research, analysis and debate. You will also get the chance to work collaboratively with other writers and screen production practitioners. The course will equip you with practical skills required to pitch your own projects and to polish original work to a professional standard.

Queensgate

The university's main campus, Queensgate, is south-east of Huddersfield town centre. Virtually all of the university's teaching takes place on the site. The campus is split in two by the Huddersfield Narrow Canal. It features a mixture of converted mill buildings, and purpose-built facilities

PSW Opportunity

  • 2 Years PSW is applicable after completing a minimum duration of 9 months course (like- Undergraduate, Postgraduate Level)

BBB at A Level .

120 UCAS tariff points from a combination of Level 3 qualifications.

DDM in BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma.

Access to Higher Education Diploma with 45 Level 3 credits at Merit or above.
120 UCAS tariff points from International Baccalaureate qualifications.
If your first language is not English, you will need to meet the minimum requirements of an English Language qualification. The minimum for IELTS is 6.0 overall with no element lower than 5.5, or equivalent will be considered acceptable.
