B.SC (HONS) REAL ESTATE SURVEYING (PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT) ACCELERATED

Real estate surveyors have an extensive understanding of the property industry, and confidently display their professional knowledge to clients. Real estate planning and property development is at the heart of this course that will prepare you for a lucrative and rewarding career in this fast-paced sector.

Our Planning and Development pathway explores a wide range of planning processes, and the requirements and legal aspects of property development. Topics covered include: conventional and contemporary valuation methods, planning viability, urban regeneration, environmental impact assessments and conservation of historic buildings.

A gateway to professional status, our Real Estate Surveying course is accredited by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), so you'll be educated to the highest industry standards. This accelerated pathway includes the same content as a traditional three year undergraduate degree, but is taught over three trimesters rather than two semesters. This more intense mode of study means that you can complete your degree in a shorter period of time, so you can progress more quickly into work or further study. If you're already in employment, we also offer an accelerated day release route that can fit around your current commitments.

As a leading centre for built environment study, we also offer additional Real Estate Surveying degree specialisms:

You will:

  • Learn key skills in areas such as valuation, development, investment and management
  • Gain knowledge of the economic, legal, technical and managerial aspects of the property and real estate sector
  • Develop industry competencies, technical skills and the confidence to progress career ambitions
