PG Dip Specialist Community Public Health Nursing - Health Visiting

As a health visitor, you will have a crucial role in ensuring that people have the best possible start in life.

This course provides registered nurses and midwives with the opportunity to become a specialist community public health visitor on the third part of the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) register.

Combining both theory-based and practice-based learning, you will examine the complexities of delivering health and social care services, especially in relation to professional health visiting. You will develop the confidence and expertise to be able to take on leadership roles, influencing and implementing public health policies that will help children, young people and families improve their life chances.

International baccalaureate

IELTS

IELTS 6.0 with no skills below 5.5, or an equivalent qualification. The University provides excellent support for any applicant who may be required to undertake additional English language courses.

India

Qualification: Bachelor degree

Grade: 2.5 GPA for 2:2 equivalent

English language requirements (one of the below):

  • IELTS 6.0 with no skill below 5.5
  • All India Senior School Certificate (CBSE) – English Grade 70%
  • Indian School Certificate (Class-XII) (CISCE) – English Grade 70%

Nepal

  • Qualification: Three-year or four-year degree from a recognized institution in Nepal 
  • Grade: 60% or above for a three-year degree OR 50% or above for a four-year degree

  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree from a UGC recognized institution in Sri Lanka
