The World of today demands high efficiency, quality and reliability from the industry. Products have to be made fast and without defects. This is only possible through the implementation of Intelligent maintenance strategy in factories, plants and industry in general. You will learn how to apply the latest maintenance techniques that increase productivity and reduce intensive labour. Furthermore, the World of tomorrow will require professionals able to work and interact with automatic processes and machines. This is also true with maintenance. Maintenance will become more automatic, smart and it will require of professionals with the skills to deal with Intelligent Systems. New technologies are completely transforming the World we live in. In this course, you will learn Machine Intelligence, Intelligent Maintenance Engineering, and Advanced Topics in Industry 4.0, Renewable Energy Technology, Condition Monitoring systems, and Structural Health Monitoring systems. You will work alongside our research active staff with the possibility of continuing on to PhD research.

55% in bachelor degree
70% in Year 12 English*

MSc / PGDip - Entry can be made to the course through holding at least a lower second class award of BEng (Hons) or BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or other related subjects.
Applications from individuals with non-standard qualifications or relevant work / life experience who can demonstrate the ability to cope with and benefit from Master-level studies are welcome.
Access qualifications should normally be in a Mechanical Engineering subject or a related area.
Students whose first language is not English will be required to demonstrate competence in the language. The normal minimum standard required is IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
