Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies (with Foundation Year), BEng (Hons)

Combine the practical and theoretical aspects of flying with the underlying principles of aerospace engineering on our Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies Foundation Year course.

Foundation year courses are designed for students who have the ability to study for a degree, but don’t have the necessary formal qualifications to directly enter their chosen honours degree programme.

Gain the theoretical training required to obtain a pilot’s license while simultaneously gaining an engineering degree.

We have excellent aerospace facilities including a full motion simulator and several flight training devices. This means you'll benefit from the practical application of theories taught in the classroom. You'll learn how to configure them to aircraft types such as civil aircraft, helicopters and even the Space Shuttle.
