Instrumentation Engineering Technology (IET) is a nationally accredited program that provides a comprehensive course of studies in industrial measurement and control.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

  • Grade 12 English (English 30-1 or 30-2)
  • Math 30-1 or Pure Math 30
  • Physics 20
  • Chemistry 20
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency

OR

  • Successful completion of a minimum of 24 post-secondary credits or 8 post-secondary courses within an accredited or recognized engineering degree or diploma with an Admission GPA of 2.0 based on the most recently completed post-secondary credits.
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency

NOTE: Applicants who, prior to August 2020, completed one of the following courses with a grade of C or higher or successfully completed more than one of the following courses with a minimum combined GPA of at least 2.0, may use it/them toward satisfying the current admission requirements:

  • CHEM 1133 Industrial Chemistry can be used to meet the Chemistry requirement
  • INST 1110 Process Measurements I can be used to meet the English requirement
  • MATH 1155 Technical Mathematics and Calculus OR ELEC 1130 Electrical I can be used to meet the Math requirement
  • PHYS 1160 Physics for Instrumentation can be used to meet the Physics requirement
