Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours)

The Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) encompasses 30 credit points of a research dissertation.

As well as the opportunity for career and skill advancement, the Honours program creates a pathway for Pharmacy students to move into research and higher degree studies via the Master of Philosophy and Doctor of Philosophy programs.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

The University's Bachelor Honours Degree (AQF Level 8) Policy will apply.

Students who have completed Years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (1395) are eligible to apply for this program. Students in this program will undertake the 30 credit point dissertation in Years 3 and 4 as determined by the Program Director and subject to the following criteria:

  • achievement of a minimum GPA of 5.0 for all coursework at the completion of Year 2 of the Bachelor of Pharmacy (1395); and
  • achievement of a minimum grade of 5.0 for 2013AHS Research Methods and Statistics.

The Program Director will take the following into consideration when assessing applications for admission:

  • the suitability of the proposed dissertation topic; and
  • the resources available to support the candidature including the availability of appropriate supervision.
