Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sport Science)
In this course, you'll gain a theoretical and practical understanding of exercise and sport physiology, biomechanics, motor control, and learning and skill acquisition, and exercise and sports psychology.
The emphasis on client-centered practice will help you develop strong interpersonal communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
In your first year, you'll learn the foundations of exercise science and study interprofessional units with students from other health disciplines.
In your second and third years, you’ll specialize in exercise and sport science, and undertake laboratory practice and fieldwork.
You'll develop practical skills by completing a 140-hour professional placement in a relevant organization.
Curtin has partnerships with Fremantle Football Club and Hockey Australia, so you could find yourself working alongside some of Australia's top athletes.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- All India Senior School Certificates awarded by the Central Board of Secondary Education with an average of 65% in four subjects, one of which must be English (with 65% or better) or separate English competence OR Indian School Certificate (Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations) with an average of 65% in five subjects, one of which must be English (with 65% or better) or separate evidence of English competence.

You have left secondary education more than two years ago (i.e. who are not classified as recent secondary education applicants) and have not undertaken vocational education training (VET) or higher education study since then.
How we define ‘experience’
‘Experience’ includes a combination of factors sufficient to demonstrate readiness for higher education such as mature-age entry, professional experience whether completion of the Special Tertiary Admission Test (STAT) is required or not, community involvement or work experience. Applicants may have undertaken non-formal programs that have helped prepare them for tertiary education or are relevant to the proposed higher education field of study.

Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study are those whose highest level of study since leaving secondary education is a VET course. This includes study at a public TAFE or other VET provider, whether a qualification was completed or not. Applicants with VET study may have other qualifications such as a Year 10 or Year 12 secondary school certificate.
