Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Admission to the Graduate Diploma in Music (Performance) requires:
(a) a bachelor's degree of higher award from the University of Sydney, or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline as determined by the School; or
(b) a graduate certificate from the University of Sydney, or equivalent qualification in an appropriate discipline as determined by the School; or
(c) completion of the requirements of an embedded graduate certificate in an appropriate discipline, as determined by the School, from the University of Sydney, or equivalent qualification; or
(d) in exceptional circumstances the Head of School and Dean may admit applicants without these qualifications who, in the opinion of the Conservatorium, have qualifications and evidence of experience and achievement sufficient to successfully undertake the award; and
(e) successful completion of an audition.
English Language Requirements :
- TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 73 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
- IELTS score - A minimum result of 6.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
- TOEFL - PBT score - A minimum result of 534 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
- Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 54 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
