English for Creative Arts (Sept start/Jan start)
Our English for Creative Arts course is specifically designed to prepare you to study art and design at UCA. This is a 28 week full-time course aimed at supporting international students who have received and accepted a conditional offer to study with us.
The course also offers the exciting opportunity to study a practical art and design unit, which will be linked to your UG or PG subject through practical projects.
With frequent visits to cities such as London and Oxford, as well as trips to the south coast of England and to Amsterdam, you will discover what makes the UK such an important place to study English language, as well as art and design subjects, and why our country has a world-renowned reputation in the creative industries.
We welcome students who speak English as second language, and those who are simply new to a university environment. Our tutors can help you to communicate effectively and creatively in your chosen field as well as develop intercultural skills.
By undertaking this course you will not only improve your IELTS score, but also improve your academic English, expand your art and design vocabulary, develop your research skills, boost your confidence as a creative arts student in the UK and help you to understand more about living and studying here.
