The FXUA Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program prepares students for leadership positions in the 21st century global marketplace. Future business leaders will be prepared to balance the goals of economic success with the constraints of greater social and environmental responsibility. Students are taught by distinguished interdisciplinary faculty who are experts in their fields. FXUA students learn to integrate changing human and information resources with continually developing technology, while nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit that has always been a key characteristic of successful business management. The School of Business offers three concentrations for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. They are Finance, International Business and Marketing.

The BSBA degree at FXUA is earned by completing a total of 40 courses (120 credit hours). This program is generally completed within eight (8) semesters.

When students enter the BSBA program, they will complete the seven (7) mandatory courses (21 credit hours) essential to the future business administrator. Students will continue to take their General Education Core (GEC) courses with three (3) courses (9 credit hours) from the social sciences and two (2) courses (6 credit hours) from the laboratory sciences, for a total of twelve (12) GEC courses (36 credit hours). Students will continue their education with eight (8) Foundational Core courses (24 credit hours) and ten (10) Professional Core courses (30 credit hours). Students are also required to take four (4) elective courses (12 credit hours). In their third and fourth years of study, students specialize and take six (6) concentration courses (18 credit hours) in finance, international business, or marketing.

FXUA’s BSBA in Finance prepares students to examine the decision-making process and the role of markets in the allocation of both real and financial resources. Integrating the fields of finance and business economics, students explore both theoretical and applied concepts in the related fields of corporate finance, investments, speculative and financial markets, real estate, banking, industrial organization, and public policy. Balanced emphasis is placed on both primary theory and its application to business problems. Our professors are experts in the finance, business, and management fields, and they use their practical experience to help our students be successful beyond the classroom.

The International Business concentration provides a solid foundation in the theory and practice of modern business organizations in relation to current economic, political, and socio-cultural environments. Students prepare for leadership positions in the 21st century global marketplace. Coursework teaches future leaders to balance the goals of economic success with the constraints of greater social and environmental responsibility.

FXUA’s BSBA in Marketing provides students with an opportunity to study the subtleties of human behavior that impact marketing and consumer decisions. Creating a new product or service is no longer enough to cause a firm to succeed in the global marketplace. Marketing makes the critical connection between the firm which produces products or services and the consumer. Our professors are experts in the marketing, business, and management fields, and they use their practical knowledge to help our students thrive beyond the classroom.

The FXUA lifecycle consists of 6 stages: pre-arrival, arrival and orientation, foundational job skills, employment readiness, employment – internship, and alumni. Students circle through foundation skills, employment readiness, and employment – internship stages each year, “leveling up” their skills, knowledge, and abilities.
