Our Diploma of Music offers programs in Composition, Contemporary Music, Digital Music and Media, Composition for Creative Industries, Historical Performance and non-western instruments, Improvised Music, Classical Performance and Jazz Studies.

Course opportunities
All students at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music participate in masterclasses with visiting artists, public recitals and performances in world class venues.
Students may participate in international performance tours each year and may undertake exchange study at an overseas university as an integral part of their course.
Future study options
Eligible candidates may proceed to the Bachelor of Music (Performance), Bachelor of Music (Composition), Bachelor of Music (Music Education) or the Bachelor of Music. These degrees provide admission to a range of Sydney Conservatorium postgraduate and graduate entry coursework and research programs.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
Alternatively, applicants may be granted admission on the basis of:
- having successfully undertaken tertiary studies in music at or above Diploma level to the equivalent of at least one year of study.
- Audition - This course requires you to pass the audition requirement.
English Language Requirements :
- IELTS score A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
- TOEFL - IBT score A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
- Pearsons Test of English A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
