Bachelor of Music
Our Bachelor of Music offers courses in Contemporary Music, Composition for Creative Industries, Digital Music and Media, and Musicology. If you are interested in the music of today, this degree is for you.
Our four-year Bachelor of Music allows you to become a broadly educated musician, learning a range of skills in various music and arts-related contexts and professions to prepare you for a career in music.
The courses are structured to give you the flexibility to study music and a range of electives such as art, history or design. We prepare you for a variety of careers, some of which may not even exist yet.
Experience the best of both worlds, with classes at both the Conservatorium of Music, Campus in the central business district, and the University's Camperdown Campus.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Secondary or tertiary qualification
A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
Alternatively, applicants may be granted admission on the basis of:
- having successfully undertaken tertiary studies in music at or above Diploma level to the equivalent of at least one year of study.
You are expected to have studied the following subjects in high school to succeed in this course:
- Music 1
There are no prerequisites for this course.
TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
IELTS score - A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - PBT score - A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
