You can combine any engineering streams (Aeronautical, Biomedical, Chemical and Biomolecular, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, and Software) with a Bachelor of Science (Medical Science).You will gain technical expertise alongside analytical and research skills to lead innovation across continually evolving industries. In addition to your engineering stream, you will also gain foundational knowledge and research skills in medical science, biomedicine and bioinformatics.

As part of your engineering degree you will undertake the award-winning Professional Engagement Program enabling you to change your approach to learning through self-reflection and extra-curricular activities throughout your degree.

Complementing your engineering studies, the Bachelor of Science (Medical Science) provides an essential foundation in the structure and function of the human body, from molecules through to whole systems. Core units will ensure you develop a breadth of knowledge across fields such as anatomy, cellular and molecular biochemistry, human physiology, immunobiology, infectious diseases, pharmacology and microbiology, and you will have the opportunity to specialise in senior units.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

  • A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate (including national and international equivalents), OR approved higher education study, including approved preparation courses.
  • This course has a Mathematics prerequisite.
  • You are expected to have studied the following subjects in high school to succeed in this course:
    • Mathematics Extension 1
    • Biology and / or Physics and / or Chemistry

TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 85 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing

IELTS score - A minimum result of 6.5 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band

TOEFL - PBT score - A minimum result of 565 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing

Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 61 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
