Two of the world’s leading institutions for the humanities and social sciences – the University of Sydney and Sciences Po in France – have come together to offer students a dual degree program, one of a kind in Australia.
After completing the first two years of study in France, you will relocate to the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at the University of Sydney to continue your third and fourth year of studies in the Bachelor of Economics. Courses are taught in English, although you may select French as your language proficiency increases.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
- Secondary qualification
- A secondary education qualification such as the NSW Higher School Certificate, including national and international equivalents.
- This program is highly competitive. Admission to the program is determined jointly by the University of Sydney and Sciences Po, based on the following criteria:
- be a recent high school leavers (no transfer students permitted)
- submission of a statement of motivation, CV and academic transcripts (see below)
- attend a panel interview via teleconference
- meet the higher of the English language requirements of University of Sydney (see below) and SciencesPo (see requirements).
- This course has a Mathematics prerequisite.
- You are expected to have studied the following subject in high school to succeed in this course:
- Mathematics Advanced or higher
TOEFL - IBT score - A minimum result of 96 overall including a minimum result of 17 in Reading, Listening and Speaking and 19 in Writing
IELTS score - A minimum result of 7.0 overall and a minimum result of 6.0 in each band
TOEFL - PBT score - A minimum result of 592 overall including a minimum result of 4.5 in Writing
Pearsons Test of English - A minimum result of 68 overall and a minimum result of 54 in each band
