BA (Hons) Human Resource Management with Foundation Year

Their ultimate goal is to boost the morale of an organisation thereby reducing staff turnover and increasing productivity. For this they need high levels of interpersonal skills, self-motivation, adaptability and persuasiveness. If this sounds like you, the degree in Human Resource Management at LJMU is an ideal starting point from which to launch your career.

This course explores the legal aspects of business and employment, business management and employment relations. There is an emphasis on case study and role play to enhance your practical as well as academic skills and 'working life' events give you a first-hand view of HRM in action, with regular input from professionals. We also include visits to employers to develop understanding of business operations and the vital role that HR plays in organisational success, and 'a day in the life of' sessions with current HR managers so that students have a broad understanding of the profession.

Foundation Year
The Foundation Year is ideal if you have the interest and ability to study for a degree, but do not have the qualifications to enter directly onto the Human Resource Management honours degree programme yet.

On successful completion of the Foundation year (NQF3) students are enrolled onto the CIPD approved BA (Hons) Human Resource Management programme (NQF4-6). Students complete the BA (Hons) Human Resource Management programme as student members and on graduation are eligible for Associate Membership of CIPD.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria

Applicants require a Higher Secondary Certificate / Standard 12 / Indian School Certificate (Year 12) OR All India Senior School Certificate Examination with a minimum of 65% overall (60% in Maths and 60% in your chosen subject).

Applicants require a minimum IELTS 6.0 Overall with 5.5 in each component score or we may accept equivalent qualifications.

We will accept the following Standard XII English state boards with a score of 70% or above as an alternative to IELTS:

A UKVI approve SELT is a compulsory requirement for students applying from the regions of Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh - even if the students have studied their Standard XII from CBSE/ISCE Boards
