We encourage continued personal and professional growth through participating in development workshops / in services several times a year. Our faculty is encouraged to continue to further their teaching education through working towards completion of our In Class or Online Instructor Development Course. Nursing Faculty are required to participate in, and work towards completion of the National Association of Career College’s Instructor Development Program – Level I & II

Grade 12 graduation or 19 years of age
Passing Stenberg College entrance examination and interview
Passing English Language Competency Requirements* Or English 10 or equivalent (for native speakers of English)**
Acceptable Criminal Record Review with Vulnerable Sector Check by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General
*Entrance requirements can be met with evidence of alternate assessments such as Challenge Exams, or acceptable standardized English equivalency tests as per the Stenberg College Language Proficiency chart. Evidence of Post-Secondary studies at an equivalent level where English was the first language is acceptable.

** English Language Competency Requirements met as per the BC Care Aide Registry for Non-Native English Speakers

English Requirements: Applicants whose native language is not English and wish to study at Stenberg College in one of the diploma programs must demonstrate their proficiency in English by way of Academic IELTS or PTE with minimum scores in IELTS of 6.0 overall and a PTE score of 51*.
