Undergraduate Pathway in Law

The program, University Foundation in Law, has been devised in accordance with Navitas UK's general educational aims along with those formulated for the College, see Quality Manual, and the nominated outcomes desired by Birmingham City University School of Law, to impart high quality of education in the disciplines required.

The educational aims of the program are to:

• Prepare students, who would not normally be considered qualified, to an appropriate standard for entry into the BCU First Year degree in Law at NQF Level 4.
• To endow each individual with an educational pathway that augments opportunities for professional employment and development in the sector at both a national and international level.
• Develop in students fundamental knowledge and understanding that can demonstrate an understanding of the main legal institutions and procedures of the English legal system and the European Union as well as the legal and regulatory frameworks that exist, demonstrate an aptitude to engage in different areas of debate within the disciplines of law, the wider economic, political, legal and cultural factors in the global economy so as to support their transfer on successful completion to the Birmingham City University prescribed degree schemes at FHEQ Level 4.
