Environmental Management is of increasing importance to all types of organizations both within the UK and worldwide; there is a growing need for qualified and trained environmental managers and, as environmental challenges become ever more apparent, this demand shows no signs of abating.
Our MSc in Environmental Management provides a flexible and broad approach to study and provides a firm grounding in the essentials of environmental management, including environmental auditing, the choice, design, and use of a range of environmental tools and methods including EIA, ERA, Lifecycle Assessment and knowledge of environmental policy and legislation. Studying on this accredited Environmental Management MSc is the first step to becoming a Chartered Environmentalist.
Campus Information
College Lane Campus
The main site of the university remains the College Lane campus, which houses the original Hatfield Technical College building. Notable among the buildings in this campus is the university's Learning Resource Centre, a combined library and computer centre. There is also a substantial collection of halls of residence and student houses, and the University of Hertfordshire Students' Union is headquartered at College Lane campus. The College Lane campus is also the location of Hertfordshire International College, which is part of the Navitas group, providing a direct pathway for international students to the University.

Admission Requirement / Eligibility Criteria
Entry requirements
A minimum of a 2.2 degree in any subject.
Applicants with other qualifications and relevant experience will be considered individually by the Programme Leader. Accredited Prior certified Learning (APL) is available for those who already have associate membership of IEMA.
Postgraduate taught
- Completion of a Bachelor degree in a relevant subject area with 55-65% or above depending on course
- IELTS 6.0 or 6.5 (depends on course) with no less than 5.5 in any band - some courses require higher
- Standard XII English with 70% will also be accepted
