Television Production BA (Hons)
Taught at Maidstone Television Studios and UCA Rochester, our BA (Hons) Television Production course offers you a unique opportunity to study television and film production in one of the UK’s leading TV studios.
Using the latest high-calibre equipment and facilities - including access to the latest 4K cameras, steadicams, Canon’s pro range of cameras, a green screen studio, lighting, sound recording kits and software such as Final Draft, Adobe and Pro-Tools – you’ll learn the full process of television from start to finish.
The course has a hands-on approach from the outset, so you’ll be making film, learning how to write script, as well as directing, producing, sound design, camera work, editing and commissioning.
By the time you graduate, your versatile and highly sought-after skill set will extend across the whole production process, covering work in television, films, commercials, corporate, music videos, virals and idents.
By honing your skills in a professional environment, you’ll have the chance to contribute to the high-profile TV shows made at Maidstone Studios, as well as network with leading industry professionals.
This Television Production degree is taught by television and film production professionals with extensive industry experience. The course offers a wide range of exciting projects, visiting lecturers and work placement units to help you forge vital connections and gain a deeper insight into the industry.
Our workshops are frequently led by industry professionals who’ve achieved success across all platforms and channels, including Netflix, Marvel, BBC, Channel 4, Sky, ITV, HBO and ITN.
Students have worked on shows such as Later...With Jools Holland, Take Me Out, Catchphrase, Blind Date and other popular network productions.

In this professional environment you’ll have the chance to work on high-profile TV shows and network with leading industry professionals. We have a dedicated technical tutor on site as well as a dedicated work-placement coordinator who can help you with work-experience opportunities. Maidstone is a vibrant town in Kent, 32 miles from London and close to our Rochester campus.
