Using a wide range of facilities, you’ll be encouraged to put your new-found skills into exciting and confidence building projects which help to establish your ideas and your artistic identity though experimentation and development.
Your studies will encourage your curiosity, speculation of ideas and themes and support you to consolidate your practice. With the support of our staff, you’ll be encouraged to experiment with a range of traditional and contemporary media, including painting, sculpture, installation, photography, film, sound, performance, animation and printmaking.
Alongside your practice, you’ll develop a deep theoretical and critical understanding of fine art as well as important business knowledge and self-promotion techniques. There’ll also be many opportunities to meet other students, make friends and build networks, giving you a strong foundation to build your career.
Thanks to the course’s strong industry links, you’ll also have access to respected names in the creative industries, including Margate-based arts organisations Crate and Limbo, Turner Contemporary, the Beany Institute Canterbury, and the Dover Arts Development.
Our course ensures you’ll be equipped with the transferable skills and attitudes, which are applicable to other industries, economies and contexts.
