Mathematics BSc (Hons)

With an emphasis on applied mathematics, this course enables you to develop your knowledge of the mathematical theories and techniques that can help you to understand real-world problems. You will also learn transferable, practical and highly desirable skills, such as team working, problem solving and communicating your ideas clearly.

To help you prepare for an exciting career, you may have the opportunity to undertake a one-year paid placement. Our Professional Liaison Unit (PLU) will provide you with extensive support to help you find a placement and has longstanding relationships with an impressive and diverse range of companies. These include Bloomberg, Microsoft, Barclays, JP Morgan, Disney, IBM and more. Placements are paid up to £25,000 pro rata per year, with some organisations choosing to exceed this.
